The Grind
“The Grind” explores the dark and sometimes explosive world of running an East End nightclub.
Vince (Freddie Connor) is a nightclub manager and having fought his way to his dream life he is determined to stay there. When his best friend Bobby (Gordon Alexander) arrives owing money to Vince’s crime-connected boss, his life takes a dramatic turn for the worse. Loyalties are tested and friendships are pushed to their limits.
‘The Grind’ features a commanding ensemble cast including Jamie Foreman (Inkheart, Oliver Twist, Layer Cake), Danny John Jules (Red Dwarf, Blade II, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), Zoe Tapper (Stage Beauty, Twenty Thousand Streets Under the Sky) and Kellie Shirley.
The release date for the film is currently unknown.
Zoë played Nell Gwynn in the critically acclaimed film ‘Stage Beauty’, directed by Richard Eyre. She featured in the BBC’s ‘The Private Life of Samuel Pepys’, and in ‘These Foolish Things’ opposite Lauren Bacall, Angelica houston and Terence Stamp. Zoë was nominated for Best Newcomer for role in ‘Twenty-thousand Streets Under the Sky’ at the RTS Awards. Most recently Zoë stared as Desdemona in 'Othello' at Shakespeare's Globe in London.
